Well, the new series is coming along well, I think. I have nine photos done so far, and I am aiming for around 20-30. Once I have all of them done, I will proceed to the final step and create the tintypes. My goal is to have them all be 8x10, but I might shrink them slightly and make whole plate (6.5"x8.5") so I can case them if I want to. I like the 8x10 size they are now though, so who knows. I am slowly but surely getting wet plate down. I am still making a ton of mistakes, but I also know what is wrong, for the most part. I am hoping that once I have the 20-30 dreamscapes images done, I will have had enough practice that I will be making

Film

I've been using film a lot more recently in my work, as you can probably tell. I've recently purchased the equipment and chemicals to process my own black and white film in my apartment, rather than having to use the school's facilities. The magic of developing my own negatives has had me addicted to shooting film. With this new development, I have split up what would have been my photography book into two separate entities: one solely devoted to film, and the other solely devoted to Polaroids. I have a few series in mind that I want to do, but I haven't had the time yet, so I am hoping to at least start one or two of them before the end of

Studio Lighting

Well, I finally splurged and bought a full lighting set up. I got a pretty good deal on it, so I don't feel guilty. Two 20"x28" Soft Boxes with Stands 30" Umbrella with Stand Three 500WS Strobes Reflector White/Silver Hot Shoe/PC Connectors So yes, I am thrilled. I am working on a new book and these will be very helpful... a whole lot more than my ghetto lighting set up from home depot that I have now.
